Texas Twins Gang

I hope all is well with everyone. I think this is a great way to catch up and see what everybody else is up to. Hannah and Brandon are growing up fast and eating me out of house and home. Brandon's appetite is unreal and we haven't hit the teen years yet. Hannah is in her 7th year of dance and started taking piano lessons (thanks to Aunt Beth) in the middle of January. She also is in band at school and plays the flute. Brandon starts up soccer in March. He also loves theatre arts, one of his electives at school. We are also looking into Karate lessons for him and Bruce is thinking about taking them with him. They are also in the middle of their first year confirmation classes at our church. They keep us busy! Bruce started a new job in October with a software company named Cybersoft. They recently won a contract with the Houston School District. He has made a move into developing at this company and is enjoying the challenge. He has a commute compared to where he has worked before, but 23 miles down FM1960 is much better than any interstate in Houston. We are trying to get back on our feet financially and are adjusting to getting paid once a month. He loves to "game" on his computer in the evenings. I call it his square-headed girlfriend. As a family, we are involved at our church, Christ the King Lutheran.
Life has settled down for myself. At one point, I was working 3 jobs to survive when Bruce was unemployed. I worked for our local school district for two years with the behavior-challenged kids, at a local scrapbook store on Saturdays, and then our church on Sundays and evenings. A little too much for the average bear, but I did what I needed to do. Bruce played Mr. Mom, at times attending school and church functions, going to soccer practice and dance. During the past summer, I went to work for some friends doing customer support for their website. I resigned from the school district and in September went full time with them. The website is called www.classiccruiser.com and we sell motorcycle parts and accessories. I work from home which I enjoy. The scrapbook store closed in September also. It was sad because the owner was also a good friend of mine. For those of you who don't know, scrapbooking is a passion of mine. I only work every other Sunday at our church. My sanity level is back at normal (or at least what I like to think as normal). Sending our love and prayers - The Texas Twin Gang - Bruce, Kay, Hannah and Brandon
